How to manage your outings? 

If you have planned an outing, an invitation or a reunion,  above all do not panic  : diet or not, you don't know how to handle these occasions.


  Here are my 10 tips that will help you  to avoid overflows.



             1.  Don't come empty-handed:

Offer to bring a salad (nice salad of raw vegetables with a light house vinaigrette sauce) or a dessert (fresh fruit salad for example) or a light cake.


Pineapple Cake Recipe

Ingredients  : for 4 people

  • 25 g flour

  • 25 g of cornstarch

  • 1/2 sachet of yeast

  • 220 g sliced pineapple in light syrup

  •   40g caster sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 4 tablespoons of light cream (15% fat for example)


Preperation  :

  • Preheat the oven to 210 ° C (th. 7).

  • In a bowl, pour the egg yolks, flour, cornstarch, sugar and baking powder. Mix well.  (In this dough you can put small pieces of pineapple).

  • In another bowl  : Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt and mix everything together.

  • In a mold,  place the pineapple slices in the bottom  then the mixture that you have just made.

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes

  • Easy and light recipe .. and Bon Appétit  ! :)


Light chocolate cake recipe

Ingredients  : for 3 people

  • 2 eggs

  • 100 g chocolate

  • 1 tablespoon of Hermesetas sweetener

  • 25 g of cornstarch

  • 75 ml of skimmed milk

  • ½ sachet of yeast

  • 50 g of white cheese 0%


Preperation  :

  • Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (th.6).

  • In a bowl  : beat the eggs, add the cornstarch, cottage cheese, sweetener and yeast. Ideally, do this mixture with a mixer.

  • Melt the chocolate in a double boiler with the skimmed milk  .

  • Mix these 2 preparations.

  • Put everything in a mold and cook for 25 minutes

  • Easy and light recipe…. And enjoy your meal  !  :)


              2. Try not to go out on an empty stomach

Above all, do not make the mistake of skipping the previous meal  : you would eat a lot more automatically. 

Half an hour before going out, try to nibble on raw vegetables, fruit, yogurt or soup to keep you calm and not to throw yourself on the aperitif or the starters which are often served with a lot of bread.


              3. What to choose  ?

As an aperitif, prefer cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, or puffed cookies instead of olives, crisps, peanuts, pistachios or even cheese chips.


               4. What to drink  ?

Try to limit yourself  : alcohol is not essential for our body. These are  calories say "  empty  "  : they are not used for thinking or even for physical effort and even strengthen the storage of fatty and sweet foods.

Drink a glass of alcohol (preferably alcohols below 15 ° such as white wine) and then opt for Diet Coke or tomato juice and of course keep your glass of water handy. Water is calorie-free and is a great appetite suppressant too.


               5. Pending  ...

While waiting for your dinner to be served, don't pounce on the basket of bread, drink a full glass of water, if your stomach is growling.


               6. During…

During the meal, just eat a plate without refilling  : try to limit starches. Ideally, fill your plate with half of vegetables and the other half of starches and proteins and if possible, help yourself on a small plate.

Do not forbid yourself but measure and eat in small quantities  ! You will be less frustrated.

Favor  :

Oysters  : rich in vitamins and low in fat

The crustaceans  : low in fat  - without too much mayonnaise The smoked salmon  : it is certainly an oily fish but it contains fatty acids to promote (limit yourself to 1 or 2 slices)

Foie gras  : contains 50% of lipids therefore is very fatty but it contains unsaturated fatty acids (beneficial for the cardiovascular system) limit its quantity all the same

Game  : is a lean meat - avoid the sauce and force on the vegetables

Cheese  : opt for moist cheeses  - they are less fat - for example  : cancoillotte, goat cheese, mozzarella ...

For the accompaniments  :

Avoid fries, potato croquettes, scalloped potatoes ...

And opt for potatoes in a field dress, plain pasta or with vegetables  ...

Focus on vegetables  !


                 7. At the end ...

At the end of the meal, if a cake is served, ask for a small portion of dessert by flattering your host on his delicious meal but that you don't have much room in your stomach.  !


Avoid  : the buttercream and the chantily

Opt  : for fruit salad or sorbets.


A coffee  ? Yes, preferably take it black without sour. Opt for a sweetener and replace the cream with semi-skimmed milk.


                8 .. Help

Do not stay at the table  ! The temptations will be too strong so help your host to clear or do the dishes…. You'll save a few fewer calories  :)


                 9. If you know your friends well, let them know that you pay attention to your figure.  :  they will prefer to make an effort so that you can "  enjoy  " this moment .


                 10. Ideally  : do not accumulate your outings and erase your excesses the next day  !  Don't wait until the next week.



You do not have  more reason to distance yourself socially  and decline the invitations with false pretexts: on the contrary, go out, savor these moments of pleasure, dance, and spend yourselves!
